The mission of the American Lung Association is to
prevent lung disease and promote lung health. The
American Lung Association (ALA) is the oldest
voluntary health organization in the United States,
with a national office and constituent and affiliate
associations around the country. The American Lung
Association has many programs and strategies for
fighting lung disease with a special emphasis on
asthma, tobacco control and environmental health.

The ARDS Foundation is a National Not for Profit
Organization composed of a group of individuals who
have been personally affected by ARDS (acute
respiratory distress syndrome). We are dedicated to
increasing public awareness, education, and
financial assistance to those engaged in medical
research.

The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA),
a not-for-profit organization for people with asthma
and allergies. AAFA provides practical information,
community based services and support. AAFA develops
health education, organizes state and national
advocacy efforts and funds research to find better
treatments and cures.

Founded by seven COPD patients, COPD-International
is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to
provide information and interactive support for COPD
patients, caregivers, families and concerned
individuals. At COPD International, you will not be
alone.

The Hermansky-Pudlak Syndrome Network Inc. is a
volunteer self help, not for profit support group
for persons and families dealing with
Hermansky-Pudlak Syndrome (HPS) and related disorder
such as Chediak Higashi Syndrome.

The Lung Cancer Alliance is the only national
non-profit organization dedicated solely to patient
support and advocacy for those living with lung
cancer and those at risk for the disease.

The National Sleep Foundation is an independent
nonprofit organization dedicated to improving public
health and safety by achieving public understanding
of sleep and sleep disorders, and by supporting
public education, sleep-related research, and advocacy.

The mission of the Pulmonary Hypertension
Association (PHA) is to provide hope, support and
education; to promote awareness in the general
public and advocate for the pulmonary hypertension
community, while funding research for a cure. PHA is
especially interested in educating pulmonologists
and cardiologists about pulmonary hypertension to
facilitate earlier, accurate diagnosis of patients.
Education of patients/families and the general
public also has high priority.

The Sarcoidosis Research Institute is an innovative
and effective humanitarian organization committed to
collaborative efforts in the areas of research,
patient and professional education and
patient-related issues.
